Sean Lehmann for Ward 1 Supervisor
Background
Dr. Sean Lehmann was born June 8, 1972 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Cottonwood High School and graduated with high honors. Sean then attended the University of Utah on a full-ride academic scholarship. He was also a member of the Utah track and cross country teams, earning two varsity letters. Following his experience in Utah, Sean moved to Iowa to attend the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery located at Des Moines University. He earned both a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and a Master's degree in healthcare administration. He then completed a surgical residency program at Lakewood Regional Medical Center near Long Beach, California. During his residency, Sean married Michelle Storey of Shingle Springs, California in August of 1999. Soon after opening his podiatry practice in the summer of 2000, Sean and his wife bought a home in Carson City. On May 7, 2003 Sean and Michelle welcomed their first son, Parker, into their home. Parker is in first grade at Bordewich-Bray Elementary School. March 18, 2005 saw the birth of their second son, Bryce. Bryce attends pre-school at Kids Klub in Carson City. Sean and Michelle are both avid runners and have run several marathons together, the most recent being California International in Sacramento. Sean ran the Boston Marathon in 2005, and particularly enjoys running the trails in the Carson City foothills. Neither Sean nor Michelle have missed a single Nevada Day run since their arrival. Sean also enjoys skiing, hiking, basketball, traveling and flying. Sean speaks fluent Spanish. He has also stayed active in the community by being a member of the Carson City Parks and Recreation Commission and volunteering his time at the Carson City Library, Kids Klub, Sierra Flyers and Carson Tahoe Diabetes Wellness program.
